The Amber - Vermont Estate

The food was a letdown, even the chef specials we tried, pizza and gulkand ice cream, so I wouldn’t recommend it. With menu prices like these, there’s a lot of room to improve. The rest of the property is lovely: breathtaking views, quaint cozy rooms, polite staff, and great service. It’s well maintained, with a TT room, pool table, garden, and kids play area. A wonderful green place for a weekend with amazing views.

The approach road is very narrow and steep, which could make driving in and out difficult for many people. There’s also no direct sunlight, so a winter visit might feel a little uncomfortable, and I think the price should be lower. On the plus side, the lush green mountain views from the balcony are amazing, the rooms are very clean, and service is very good. The staff are cooperative, and the food is good.

I was there with my cousins in 2018, though we didn’t stay long. The season, food, and stay left me with unforgettable memories, especially the very enjoyable breakfast. It’s still one of my favorite holiday experiences. I’d love to recommend this place. Thank you.

The service was outstanding, whether we were at reception or in the restaurant. Everyone seemed eager to help. We spent one night in the spacious "heritage block" room, whose balcony had a splendid hill view. Mall road was just a 5-10 min drive away, close enough to reach easily but far from the maddening crowd, and the hotel also offers a free shuttle. The only thing missing was a bar, since the views would be even better with some adult beverages. I’ll certainly visit again.
