Room cleanliness could use more attention to detail, though the stay itself was comfortable. The location was very convenient for getting around, and the hotel staff were polite and responsive. Abu Samad, the manager, stood out for being professional, attentive, and pleasant whenever I needed help. A nice stay overall, and I’d consider coming back.

The room itself was in poor shape: it was quite dirty, the bathroom smelled damp and moldy, the bin hadn't been emptied, and there were lots of mosquitoes. Being right by the road also made it extremely noisy. Even for a small budget hotel, I don't think a room like that should be offered. I was exhausted and upset, so I left early the next morning. I'd been in India for two weeks and usually try to leave positive reviews for local businesses, but this was the worst hotel I'd experienced. I arrived at 10:30 PM, and the receptionist asked whether I was from Japan or Vietnam and if I was staying one night. He then said the hotel didn't allow foreign guests, despite selling rooms on Agoda. He tried to send me to another hotel 5 km away. I refused and said I'd report it to Agoda, and only then was I allowed to stay. At first I thought it was just the receptionist's attitude, but the room made me feel the management had serious problems too.

Our staff stayed at Pine Tree Signature, Little Mount, Guindy while visiting IIT Madras, and the flexible check-in and checkout helped with their schedule. The hotel is well placed for getting around, close to Chennai Trade Centre, IIT Madras, and Guindy Metro Station. They found the rooms clean, cozy, and comfortable for a good rest after a busy day. The hospitality was warm and professional, and the staff were polite and ready to help.

I booked this place only because it was very close to my training center, but the service was awful. Food took over an hour to arrange, then the plates took more than half an hour. When I complained, the receptionist said providing plates wasn't their duty, as if I was supposed to bring my own. Room service staff later refused services outright. Someone kept knocking on my door late at night. When I asked the service staff about it, they said it wasn't their responsibility. That left me feeling this hotel isn't safe for women traveling alone.
