First bad experience in Gokarna. The receptionist was rude when asking us to pay cash instead of online. I understand they may have their own reasons for not taking UPI, but we had cash and could have taken rooms. People ask questions before choosing a place, and he literally told us, "If you have cash then only talk to me." Don't take his rooms. There are plenty of other good lodges and rooms. And especially for Hindi speakers, they were very rude to us.

The room was clean and cozy for a decent price, and it's just a few minutes' walk from the beach and bus stand. There are some decent vegetarian food places nearby. We were on the third floor, where each room has a large ventilator above the door that lets mosquitoes in. Bring a mosquito coil if you stay there; we had to buy one outside. They don't provide regular drinking water in the room, so you have to buy mineral water from them or elsewhere. They didn't give us a receipt for either the initial payment or final settlement, and they didn't take our ID either. Maybe there's some tax-avoidance trick involved, but that's risky, since police could take guests in for questioning if something illegal happens at the hotel.

I booked a room ten days before my trip from Hyderabad. When I reached the hotel, they didn't respond. The receptionist was a big worst fellow, and they don't know how to talk to customers. My experience was very bad. My advice to everyone is, don't go there.

The location is good, close to both the temple and beach. Rooms were okay, though only two had AC. They take hard cash only and don't accept digital payments.
