R K Beach Cottage

The main drawbacks were the electric water heater instead of a solar one, worn switchboards, and too few outlets for charging or other electrical use. Roads around Gokarna are narrow, and parking near the beach cottages can be expensive, so bikes may be a better choice than large cars or SUVs. There are other nice cottages nearby, so compare options before booking. This cottage faces the beach and has an excellent location. The rooms are spacious, with both a fan and air conditioning, and the on-site restaurant serves good food.

The view from the tent was fantastic, and it was spacious. But we deeply regretted staying in the RK cottage tents because no other rooms were available. The shared washrooms were horrible. The washbasins and toilets were in such a pathetic state that even stray dogs wouldn’t use them. Public toilets were much better.

We had a great year-end stay at RK beach cottage. From our gallery, we could enjoy the sea view all day, and the location was awesome and pleasant. The nightlife had a great vibe. Staff were very helpful and supportive throughout our stay.

Being by the beach is about the only good thing here. The place felt below average, and I wouldn’t consider it suitable for a family. The rooms were dirty, power kept going out, and the staff were rarely at reception and seemed extremely careless.
