What a terrible stay. The rooms were cramped and dirty, smelled damp and moldy, and had no hot water. Nobody on staff spoke English. One staff member kept bothering my girlfriend and me for photos, then walked into our room without knocking. Halfway through, we were made to switch rooms for no clear reason and had to pack everything again; nobody helped carry our bags. At checkout, the manager raised the agreed price by more than 500 rupees and tried to charge us for breakfast, even though he had said it was included. I hope this helps other travelers avoid paying $20 a night for a room that might be worth barely $4. TERRIBLE, never again.

Mr. Vivek Singh helped make our stay memorable, and we’re grateful to him. The room service team were attentive, friendly, and very polite, which made things comfortable. Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, and the ambience at Hotel Royal Monarch at Gorakhpur was better than we expected. It really felt like a home away from home. We’d like to return.

Getting around was easy since transport is readily available nearby, which is handy if you don’t have your own vehicle. The room at this treebo hotel was roomy and comfortable, with good amenities, and both it and the washroom were clean and hygienic. The staff seemed loyal and trustworthy. I had an amazing stay.

They brought extra blankets and towels and got food and drinks to us promptly. The phone charging setup could be more secure.

The food was quite good and reasonably priced, though it took a while to arrive. The room wasn’t as clean and tidy as I expected, and there were big spiders in it.
