The Woods

The food was a highlight, with lots of choices and everything we tried tasting delicious. Breakfast was included and had plenty of options. Thanks to Siddesh, Arbaz, and Amar for being attentive with our orders and making sure we were looked after. The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful, from the welcome to local suggestions and prompt service, and we felt at home. The Woods Homestay in Guhagar has a lovely green, cozy atmosphere, and the open lawns are great for relaxing with views of the beach in the distance, especially at sunrise or sunset. The pool could be cleaner, but it was still a refreshing place to unwind after a day out. The cottages are spacious and thoughtfully arranged, with large windows bringing in natural light and calming views. Rooms were neat and kept clean by housekeeping throughout the stay. One issue was the wooden cabinet under the wash basin, which seems to have absorbed water and sometimes smelled bad in the bathroom. Fixing that would improve the experience. The beach is about 4km away, but easy to reach. It’s one of the best stays in the area, and I’d recommend it for a peaceful Guhagar getaway.

We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend the place. The property is spacious and beautiful, with great views, clean rooms, and good amenities. The staff were polite and very helpful, and the authentic food was super delicious. Looking forward to visiting again!

The beach at Guhghar is just a five-minute walk away. In the morning, from 8-10 AM, you can buy fresh fish straight from the fishermen as they bring in their boats. The homestay itself was a wonderful getaway for our two-day stay at Woods Homestay, Guhghar. Miss Sejal at reception greeted us warmly and stayed soft-spoken and approachable throughout, guiding us well and making us feel at home right away. The staff were excellent, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Chef Mr. Eknath Dhuri was professional yet warm, checking in to make sure we enjoyed our meals. I asked for modaks with extra ghee, even though they weren’t on the menu, and he made them piping hot. They were easily the best modaks I’ve ever had. The breakfast spread had lots of options too. The facilities added to the charm, with a large common pool, a cozy private pool, and an extended lawn with recliner beds where we could relax and look toward the beach. It’s a comfortable, cozy choice for couples and even better for larger groups, with lots of space, a big pool, and plenty of room for activities. We had a memorable time and would love to return.

We’re staying at a nearby resort, but dinner here really lifted our stay. After a long drive, the grilled prawns and tangdi kebabs were comforting, full of flavor, cooked well, and deeply satisfying. The restaurant has a warm, elegant, relaxed atmosphere. Service felt smooth and genuinely welcoming, with strong leadership behind it. Chef Dhuri deserves special thanks for consistently balanced, well-presented dishes, and Mr. Rushikesh for managing things professionally and warmly. The food, service, and atmosphere make this a premium dining experience. It’s become our preferred place to eat despite staying elsewhere. Highly recommended, and well deserving of five stars.
