Hotel The Himalaya Orchid Guptkashi

I booked for a group, and Raj bhai and his father were a big help. They helped me arrange other places and kept my Kedarnath tour on schedule.

The staff were really friendly, and the rooms were clean with lovely views. Hotel Himalaya Orchid, Guptkashi was a great place to rest before heading to Kedarnath.

The balcony view made meals especially nice, and the food was good. Rooms were tidy, staff polite and helpful, and the room rate was reasonable. A lovely stay surrounded by nature. For more details about the property, see the YouTube channel "Travel Freak Oindrila".

The view from the room was lovely, but the stay itself was frustrating. At 5500-5800 per room, I felt the price was far too high for the room and ambience. The sheets and towels were too dirty to use, and cleanliness and hygiene were very poor. There’s no bell or intercom, so you have to walk to the kitchen whenever you need to order something. Rahul, the room service boy, worked hard and was very efficient, but the others hardly seemed to listen or attend to us. Guptakashi is beautiful, and I found many better places to stay than somewhere that left me irritated. I’ve just returned and will get the bill from the agent who put me in this hotel. I have no reason to make anything up or gain from it, this is my true experience.
