Saalak Lite Social Palace

We were charged ₹4,000 for a room for three, but it was extremely dirty and poorly maintained. We were exhausted from the journey and had no other accommodation available then. The staff were rude and acted as if they were doing us a favor, and they didn’t take our concerns seriously. At night, the room lights stopped working. We reported it, but got no proper help and couldn’t sleep comfortably without the lights. At checkout, a staff member said the lights had worked all night, then suddenly switched them on using a hidden balcony switch. That was frustrating and unprofessional. The food seemed stale and unfit to eat. When we complained, the staff refused to take responsibility and accused us of misleading them. For what we paid, the cleanliness, food, service, and hospitality were far below an acceptable standard. One of my worst stays in Uttarakhand. I wouldn’t recommend it, and management needs to improve both service standards and staff behavior.
