Vedant Valley Resort, Kund (Guptkashi)

The nearby river is so calming to listen to, and the peaceful property made it easy to slow down and disconnect. The food was amazing, fresh and carefully prepared. It was a really nice, comfortable getaway. A few small improvements could make the stay even better, but I’d say it’s worth visiting.

At Verdant Valley, GIO Adventures arranged clean places to stay in carefully chosen spots, with lovely access to the natural beauty along the Mandakini Riverside. After long trekking days, the accommodation was a comfortable place to rest. We had substantial vegan needs in our group, and I follow a raw vegan diet. The team took great care of us, making sure we had plenty of fresh fruit and colorful salads, and even adding local edible flowers and leaves to meals. That attention made a real difference and let me keep up my raw vegan nourishment throughout the trek without difficulty. The guides were skilled, the arrangements were well managed, and the support made the Chandrashila trek a joy. The whole experience felt seamless and memorable. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team.

Birds show up by the dozens each morning, drawn by all the greenery, and River Mandakini flows just 300 metres below, which makes the place feel magical. It’s a lovely getaway for nature lovers, birders, and hikers. The staff were excellent, and the rooms were spacious with all amenities.
