The Anya Hotel, Gurgaon

The room lighting was so dim that we couldn't do our makeup properly anywhere. My dustbin also wasn't emptied before checkout. The towels looked old and weren't even white, breakfast was undercooked, and I had to call housekeeping again and again for napkins. After two nights of my four-night stay, the key stopped working and I had to run around to get it fixed. Reception staff were cold and unwelcoming. The infrastructure and service felt like a three-star place, and I don't think it even deserves four stars. A really unpleasant stay. I wouldn't book or recommend it again.

Breakfast was the highlight for me, with a different buffet each morning: chicken sausages, grilled fish, pav bhaji, parathas, omelettes, fruit, juices, dry fruits, plus South Indian dishes like dosa and medu vada. Chef Anuj at the live counter makes a great masala dosa, and the watermelon squeeze juice was refreshing. The room was clean, comfortable, and well kept, and the staff were polite and helpful. I stayed at Anya Hotel for a week and had a pleasant time. There's parking, and Sector 42-43 Rapid Metro is a two-minute walk away. Cozy room, good food, and a lovely view. I'd recommend it. The location made it easy to get to nearby attractions, shopping, and places to eat, while the hotel itself stayed peaceful despite the city nearby. My room was spacious, spotless, nicely decorated, and had a comfortable bed, minibar, work desk, and the amenities I needed. Cleanliness and upkeep were especially noticeable. Staff from reception to housekeeping were attentive and courteous, and I even got a free room upgrade. The extra space and lovely view made the stay better. I found Hotel Anya comfortable and good value, with thoughtful service. I'd recommend it for a business or leisure visit.

The food was far too expensive for what it was, and checkout came with billing problems. I stayed one night at Anya hotel Gurgaon. The AC temperature controls didn't work, so I changed rooms, but the second room had the same issue and I ended up switching the AC off to sleep. There was no hot water either, so I had to shower cold. The front desk staff seemed raw and lacked hospitality and courtesy. I wouldn't recommend this property to business guests.
