I was turned away at 8 pm despite having a confirmed booking through oyorooms. The property blamed construction and said no rooms were available, even for more than my booking price. They claimed Oyo had been told in advance, but Oyo had left the property listed in the app. Oyo customer service tried to find somewhere nearby but couldn’t get me a room. Later that night, I saw the same property available on other websites for double the price, which made it seem like rooms had in fact been available. I suspect demand was high and they chose to reject Oyo bookings in favour of other, “outside” customers. To me, that was dishonest and broke their commitment to both me and Oyo. I wouldn’t book through Oyo, and I’d be careful using other sites or booking direct too. It felt like they’d do anything for a quick buck instead of honouring a booking. There are plenty of other places nearby. I saw the property’s standard response below, but I’d already given feedback and escalated the issue. No action.

The hotel looked good from outside, though I never checked in. My online booking through OYO or another third party was denied at reception even though I’d paid. They wanted more cash for a room booked on the spot, so I applied to OYO for a refund and eventually got it after a lot of hassle. Check with reception before you go to check in.

A well kept, affordable place, with efficient, polite staff. It has Wi-Fi and generator backup, and the rooms and washrooms are cleaned daily if you request it. The food is good, but a bit expensive.

I booked through Oyo three times because I trusted its reputation and package deals, and had a bad experience every time. After booking, Oyo customer service called with an offer and took payment. But when I arrived, the person at reception, who might have been the owner, refused to give me a room. He said Oyo didn’t pay them on time, so they couldn’t accommodate me. It was really disappointing. I lost 1200 INR and still haven’t got it back. I tried contacting customer support many times but couldn’t get through. I don’t recommend OYO, since the hotel premises don’t treat customers professionally. I want my payment refunded. Thanks & Regards, Amy.
