DLF Club 4

The pool has been closed for maintenance for the last 3-4 days. The club was clean and looked good, but beyond that I found little to like. We paid 4 lacs for membership and expected better. At the bar, the only food they could offer was peanuts, with no bar nibbles available. It feels like they’re selling memberships fast without even providing a bite of cupcake. We came for dinner on 8th May'26, the night before I wrote this. At the Terrace cafe, dish after dish we tried to order wasn’t available. Staff kept telling us to order Indian food, and after we called the chef, they offered us other items. The food was very poor in both quality and quantity. The staff apologized, but it didn’t seem like the club was ready to cater to guests. Ingredients were missing, and the menu lacked the fancy items we expected. The food outside at hawker is much better. Very poor service, DLF club. This isn’t how a club should operate or what it should charge. It was my worst club experience ever. People who bought memberships and aren’t satisfied with the poor service should ideally get a refund.

This is more than a hotel, it’s a club. Along with a lovely pool area, there’s a well-equipped gym for a full workout, tennis and squash courts, and reformer Pilates facilities. The lounge serves a good range of wines and cocktails, sometimes with live piano and vocal performances in the evening. By the pool, there’s a charming café for pastries and light bites. I spent a week here as a hotel guest, so I got to know the place well. It’s recently renovated, with tasteful, harmonious design throughout. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished, and the air conditioning worked flawlessly. The buildings enclose the grounds and shield them from the city’s chaos. Inside, it feels like a quiet, self-contained oasis, with the noise and intensity of Delhi fading away. Across the street, Gallery Market has restaurants, cafés, beauty salons, a barber, and some quality shops, all an easy walk away without having to head into the overwhelming Delhi traffic. The staff were warm, professional, and very motivated. They felt like a five-star team, attentive without getting in the way. I travel a lot and have discerning taste, and this exceeded my expectations. I don’t think the current average rating reflects the true quality. In my view, it deserves a perfect 10, and it’s one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had, in Delhi or anywhere.

Recently renovated, this is a lovely property with professional, polite staff and food that’s incomparably delicious. A great place to stay if you want to experience both a five-star hotel and the charm of a club.

I was looking forward to coming back after it reopened following more than a year of renovations. It smelled fresh and was clean, but some parts showed poor workmanship and didn’t feel up to DLF standards. The coffee shop and library were my favourite spots.
