Hotel 91 Prive

Dinner from the à la carte menu was great for taste, quality, and quantity. Breakfast was a letdown for the price, though, with very few choices. There was no dosa at the live counter, just omelettes. The rooms were compact but clean. At night one lamp couldn’t be switched off, so the room never got fully dark, which could bother anyone who needs total darkness to sleep deeply. Basic items such as a shaving kit aren’t provided by default, and you have to ask reception for toiletries. They’ll only provide a dental kit if you request it. A decent stay, with some room to improve comfort, amenities, and food.

The heat in the basement made our engagement function miserable. We kept asking for AC, but staff only turned on blowers, so guests were left sweating. The tikki counter was meant to go under the chimney, but that instruction was ignored. Food burned and smoke filled the area, leaving people choking. It felt irresponsible and unsafe. We paid ₹3.5 lakhs, yet the food was far below what we were promised. The halwa was far too sweet, the noodles bland and badly cooked, and a dessert arrived nearly an hour late. Staff also said the cold drink counter was closed while bottles were plainly available. Starter service was poor too, with only 1-2 waiters seen and many guests in the main area getting none. The bride, groom, and their families were served cold food and no starters. After the function, we asked for a refund and were offered just ₹5,000 against the ₹3.5 lakh bill. That says a lot about their attitude. Highly unprofessional, overpriced, and with no hospitality. Booking this venue for an important event brought stress, embarrassment, and regret.

The staff were attentive and very friendly. Jeevan in the restaurant deserves a special thanks for looking after us throughout our stay. The beds were comfortable, and the linen was clean and changed every day. Our first room had a bad smell from the toilet, though, so they moved us to another one. I'd ask for a room facing the front and the main street. At the back, the view is just other buildings.

Ajay Yadav at the front office made me feel at ease during my stay at Hotel 91. He was consistently helpful, very polite, professional, and kind when speaking with guests. I really appreciated his attitude and service. The stay itself was very pleasant, and the front office team especially stood out. I'd gladly recommend Hotel 91.
