Hotel Sapphire by OYO Rooms

There’s no parking, and the street space out front isn’t enough either. Breakfast was ordinary but fine. The property itself is a decent size, though the rooms and furniture are poor. I checked three rooms and ended up taking the bed that looked least dirty. Don’t trust the flashy Google images.

The rooms were reasonably good, and the washrooms were clean, so the stay itself was just okay. But late at night last week, my friends and I arrived for a one-day stay with three rooms booked through MakeMyTrip. The booking hadn’t gone through even though the money had been debited, and the hotel wouldn’t help us. They charged us again for all three rooms. A very bad experience.

I travelled from Ludhiana after booking on Agoda, but Sunil at the desk said they didn’t accept online bookings, despite the big OYO signs at the hotel. I called OYO support, and the representative persuaded him to honor the confirmed booking. I had no real choice but to take a room, which cost 1000 and was filthy. I only needed to stay one night, so I made do. Beware, and don’t book here.

The staff member spoke to me disrespectfully. When I asked for a lower price because OYO had shown me a different offer, he cancelled that and then quoted three times the amount OYO had listed. He even said, “Aisa toh nanga bhej denge tumko itna paise Kam karoge toh.” This was an awful experience, and I want their hotel licence cancelled.
