Hotel Guruvayur Darshan

07.09.2025. This is a live review. I've been staying here since last night, 06.09.2025. About two hours ago I asked housekeeping for soft pillows, then called again to remind them. I was told the pillows were being sent, but they never arrived. The pillows are so hard that I couldn't sleep last night, and now I have a stiff neck and severe headache. It's surprising that such a basic request wasn't handled in time. Customers' needs should be met promptly. I recommend thinking twice before booking here. 14.09.2025. I strongly object to how the hotel authorities handled my service-related review. I wrote it because a lapse directly affected my experience as a guest. The Hotel Manager acknowledged the shortcoming and personally apologized, which I appreciated. But then I learned the hotel complained to the event organizer who had invited guests and arranged the booking for a wedding at the hotel. It's ironic and disappointing that they took this route instead of addressing the matter constructively. Good service depends on receiving guests graciously and respectfully, and taking both positive and negative feedback seriously. Reviews can point out areas to improve; they shouldn't lead to retaliation or discomfort for people who raise genuine concerns. Not all feedback will be glowing. The hotel accepted the lapse and apologized to me, yet by shifting the matter to the organizer, it avoided accountability and undermined the purpose of guest feedback. I strongly urge the authorities to reconsider this approach. They should respond logically and respectfully to my review, address the concern sincerely, and show a commitment to improve. I protest their decision to complain to the organizer about my discomfort after acknowledging it personally. A reasoned response would better reflect the values expected of a reputable service business.

The rooms had all the necessities and were comfortable, and the staff and crew were friendly and helpful. I had a very comfortable stay. The temple is nearby and within walking distance, so I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Guruvayoor temple.

The view around the property brought a peaceful, relaxing feeling, and valet parking made things smooth and convenient. Staff were courteous and attentive throughout my visit. The food was a highlight too, delicious and affordable, with a wholesome meal for just ₹100. I had a truly pleasant, memorable and comfortable stay in Guruvayur, and would gladly recommend the hotel.

The restaurant manager went out of the way to get us dinner when we arrived late. Staff were friendly and ready to look after us at the welcome desk, in the restaurant and through room service. Service was quick, and the breakfast buffet was really good. We had a memorable two-day stay at Guruvayur Darshan hotel, and I'll stay here again next time.
