The reception looks nice inside, and the hotel has a pleasant interior. There’s plenty of vehicle parking, Wi-Fi, and a swimming pool, along with banquet and wedding halls and a multi-cuisine restaurant. It’s a bar-attached hotel. They can arrange a taxi or other travel help if needed, and they offer a drop-off at the temple. A good place for a comfortable stay.

The staff were really good, and there’s enough car parking. Beyond that, the stay was a big letdown for the price. The lobby is the only part that looks decent and somewhat like the online photos. The rest feels like a basic 2-star property at best, nowhere near what the ads suggest. Rooms are old and poorly kept, with hygiene issues, bad smells in the bathrooms, doors that don’t work properly, peeling paint, and leaks from parts of the corridor ceiling. I wouldn’t rely on the photos when booking, and the overall condition made for very poor value.

The pool is open from 8 AM to 8 PM, and breakfast was included, with thatt dosa, idli, vada, bread with jam and butter, and grape juice. The food was average, but it came fresh and hot. I was here for Guruvayur darshan, and the temple is only a five-minute walk away. The rooms were spotless, with thoughtful design, and the ambience felt warm and elegant. It was peaceful enough to relax at the end of the day. A comfortable, affordable option, and I’d come back.

Devi Krishna (Ammu) made a real impression on us. Our fruit salad with ice cream, ordered around 9.15 PM, arrived late at about 9.45 because they were busy. She brought it herself and apologized sincerely. At breakfast the next morning, she came over again to explain what had happened. We had a lovely chat and even took a selfie together. She was warm, honest, and caring, and really showed what good hospitality looks like. The other staff were welcoming and courteous too. Our non-AC room was clean, neat, and comfortable, and the temple was just a three-minute walk from Sopanam Heritage. We had a very pleasant stay at Sopanam Heritage during our visit to Guruvayur Temple.

We especially enjoyed the restaurant, with excellent food, a warm atmosphere, and attentive service. Thanks to Devi Krishnan for her courteous and lovely hospitality. She was welcoming and made the experience feel special. The staff also made sure our stay and dining were comfortable and memorable. Sopanam Heritage had a wonderful ambience and excellent service throughout.
