Mayura Residency

After a family tragedy forced me to cancel a wedding hall I’d booked well in advance, I contacted management with plenty of notice. The response was rude and insensitive, including from the staff and management, even the MD. The whole process became stressful at an already difficult time. They also refused to return my deposit without giving a proper reason. I had to call and follow up repeatedly, but still got no clear answer. This was a very poor experience. The lack of empathy and basic professionalism was unacceptable, and I’d tell others to think carefully before booking this place for an important occasion.

We keep choosing Mayura Residency whenever we come to Guruvayur because the atmosphere is pleasant and dependable. The rooms are clean, well maintained, and have what we need for a comfortable stay. The staff are consistently attentive and helpful, even when it’s crowded, so things go smoothly. A reliable, comfortable place with great service. Highly recommended.

The room was an awful experience. The AC made a lot of noise and barely cooled it, and the bathroom was unclean, with water collecting in the bathing area. Staff were rude, apart from the security guard, who was the only polite person there. The reception was the only well-kept part, and it felt like it was maintained just for show. One of the worst stays of my life. Think twice before booking at Mayura.

The view from the hotel and the rooms were good, but the service was very poor. They didn’t explain enough when we booked, then demanded extra money at the last minute, leaving us no chance to choose another hotel. They even charged us more for raising questions about what we felt was unfair. Don’t book wedding rooms here. It was a frightening and very expensive experience.
