For ₹2300 for two people, this could be a good option if it were better looked after. The 1BHK at Sreepathi Nirmalyam has useful basics, including drinking water, a toiletry kit, towels, a refrigerator, and working AC, and Guruvayur Temple is an easy walk via South Nada. But the apartment felt dated, with old linens, older tiles throughout, and a bathroom with minor leaks. Those maintenance issues made the stay underwhelming despite the convenient location and amenities.

Avash at reception was helpful in directing us, and the stay was pleasant overall. We were three families, with children and older people, there for one night to visit Guruvayur temple. The rooms were large, with cozy beds and a sofa, and although the hotel was busy they provided the hygienic rooms and washroom I'd requested when booking. There's no in-house restaurant, but the complimentary breakfast was good. In rainy weather, families with kids or older people may need an auto. Reception couldn't arrange one for us, so we had to walk in the rain to catch one. The lane is too narrow for cabs or SUVs, though our XUV somehow managed to drop us off and pick us up.

The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, with 24/7 hot water, good blinds, enough power sockets, and a comfortable sofa. Staff were friendly and courteous, and understood English. But our bath linen had faded to gray, so we didn't use it even though the room boy said it had been dry cleaned. Other drawbacks: too much room freshener, a dirty dining-area wash basin, and just one worn wooden wardrobe. There weren't enough wardrobes or side tables for luggage, so ours stayed on the floor. The hotel has no kitchen and brings in the food. Getting there takes some care. The hotel sits about 100 metres down a narrow alley paved with large stone tiles, and it doesn't look like a road to a hotel. Small cars and autos can pass, but taking an SUV through is difficult, and backing out can be tricky. Parking fits about four or five sedans. It's a small place, around 14 rooms on three floors. The lift only goes to the second floor, while the dining area is on the third. Breakfast is complimentary from 8:30 to 10:00 AM. We went at 9:15 and the eggs had run out. The food was tasty but cold. They offered idly, idiyapam, bread, and eggs. I was surprised by the 4.0 rating from over 150 reviews on makemytrip. This doesn't feel like a three-star hotel, and Treebo should reconsider its property criteria.

The desk attendant was very helpful, and the hotel is within walking distance of Guruvayoor temple. Our ground-floor rooms were spacious, though a bit old and worn, and the bathroom felt cramped. The rooms were clean. Parking is available for about three or four cars.

The only thing going for it is that it's somewhat close to the temple. I wouldn't recommend booking here, especially with family. The rooms, food, service, and location were all terrible, and this was the worst travel experience I've had. I meant to share photos of the room but forgot my phone at breakfast, so I don't have pictures of that area. Getting to the hotel means taking a poor road full of mud and uneven patches, away from the main road. Nobody contacted us ahead of time about check-in, and although we were told the room was clean and ready, everything had stains, even the bedsheets. The toilet smelled bad, and the pipes and shower were stained. When I asked for cleaning, a staff member went into the toilet, then walked around the room in wet slippers and said everything was okay. The smell and condition came back, so I bought air freshener, a perfume bag, and sanitizer just to feel able to use the bathroom. The power cuts took 10 to 15 minutes before the generator came on. The next morning, breakfast was on the third floor. I took the stairs, where cleaning buckets, mops, and other things were left along the way. The breakfast counter looked awful, with a dirty cloth on the floor and stained table mats. It nearly made me vomit, and the food was very poor. When I raised all this, they said someone had spilled tea on the counter the day before, and that they'd had the same issue with the bedsheets.
