The room was okay overall and the place is near the east gate of guruvayoor, but some bathrooms don't have locks.

We booked at the last minute and headed to guruvayur. The rooms were clean, and caretaker Mr. Subramanian helped us a lot at odd hours. It's a middling place, with calm, cozy rooms about 500mts from north nada and 700 mts from the railway station, both walkable. But the mosquitoes were awful, and management needs to take that seriously. There's no restaurant attached or even nearby, and for anything else you have to go 500mts.

The apartment style setup worked well for our family temple visit, though it's not a posh hotel, and the temple isn't within walking distance. We booked three rooms only a couple of days ahead for an unplanned trip, after reading lots of negative reviews, and it turned out really good. They're like small 1BHK or studio apartments. The living room was okay, with a sofa cum bed, and the kitchen area was okay too. The bedroom was small but not crowded, and the washroom was okay. Everything was clean, with fresh linen and the other amenities provided. Most important, my 6m baby was comfortable and slept calmly. Caretaker Soman was very helpful.

The new apartment is in a quiet area, and the rooms were clean. It's okay for one night and very reasonably priced, about I km walk to North nada. But don't expect help once you've checked in, as nobody was around. Mosquitoes were a big problem, so I'd suggest nets on the bathroom vents and windows. There's no restaurant attached or shops nearby.
