Goroomgo Suhana Homestay Guwahati

I wouldn't recommend this homestay or stay here again. It was dirty, and safety was a major concern. The fan didn't work, the AC was malfunctioning, and the TV was unusable. The king-size bed had an uncomfortable mattress, and cooking came with extra fees that hadn't been mentioned upfront. The caretaker was drunk during my stay. A disappointing experience, 0/10.

Being there felt like we were bothering the staff. They were extremely rude and unprofessional, with no manners, and the service was pathetic. The whole atmosphere was negative. If respect and basic hospitality matter to you, stay away.

The room smelled strongly of urine, and the walls were dirty and the bed dusty. I could barely breathe comfortably in there. The caretaker reeked of alcohol and was disrespectful. We asked politely for clean sheets because ours were so dirty, but it took several requests before he agreed, and then he just tossed the new sheets onto the table. We weren't satisfied with the room or service, so we left and asked for a refund, but didn't get it. Not a good place to stay.

There was no privacy, so I wouldn't choose this for a couple or family. Mosquitoes kept me awake all night, cockroaches ran across the floor, and the walls had what looked like blood stains, probably from people smashing mosquitoes. Staff wouldn't help carry the luggage. I booked four nights through MakeMyTrip but couldn't tolerate it and checked out on day two, losing the full amount.
