I can’t understand how earlier guests could have given this place five stars, unless the reviews are fake. I couldn’t give zero, so I gave one. The place was pathetic and a mess, and nobody was there to receive us despite our booking and a call that same morning asking when we’d arrive. The rooms were awful, and we left within a minute of getting there. They had taken ₹500/- in advance, which they need to refund. This is in response to the property’s reply. There was a helper, but he had no idea what was going on, which isn’t the same as having someone there to receive you. They may have cleanliness standards, but judging by the mess throughout the rooms and public areas, those standards are very dubious. The room offered didn’t match the one we booked. The manager’s phone was switched off, so there was no way to get things sorted quickly. We weren’t willing to waste our time at this sad place.

I’m from mizoram and had booked this homestay through make my trip, with the owner aware that I’d prepaid. But when I arrived at night, tired and angry after traveling from mizoram that same day, I found my booked room had been cancelled without any reason. I hope they improve their hospitality and service. I wouldn’t want anyone else to have the experience I had.

There are cafes and eateries nearby, which is handy. The rooms are kept up well, the washroom was clean, and the dining area was decent. The reception person, kalita, was very good. Had a very pleasant stay, one of the best homestays around here.

This was my fifth visit, and the cleanliness, atmosphere, and hospitality are still just as good. Best homestay in Guwahati that I've stayed at so far. I'll be back 😃

Being able to leave my luggage for a few extra hours after checkout while I ran errands nearby was a huge help. The host was considerate and made the whole last-minute stay easy and comfortable, even on short notice. Qalaa bakery and lush cafe are close by, and Fancy bazaar and the railway station are about 1-2 km away. I'd visit again.
