Hotel Prince

For Rs 800, I got furniture that looked about 30 years old, a TV dating back to 2000 that wasn't usable, and a fan that ran at full speed with no control. The blanket smelled of urine and filled the room with that odor. The railway station is so close that train honking disturbed me. Nearby, you can get a very luxurious option for Rs 1000. Book at your own risk.

There were lots of mosquitoes, though that seemed to be a problem across the area. The bathroom was dirty and poorly designed, which made it unpleasant to use. In my economy room, the Western toilet had no bidet or spray, and the mattress was like a hard slab. The pillow was stiff as concrete too. Overall, I wasn't comfortable.

The food at the hotel was pathetic, and so were the staff. My room was dirty, service was extremely poor, and the staff were rude and unhelpful. Basic cleanliness and hospitality were missing. It wasn't worth the money, and I'd never recommend this hotel.

I felt unsafe even though I was travelling with my husband. The stairs were unsafe, there was no security, and the chaotic, filthy surroundings had drunk people around. I wouldn't consider this fit for women or families. When we arrived at night, they said there were “no rooms” despite the online booking and tried to get extra money offline. The room they showed us was filthy, and it seemed deliberate, as if meant to pressure guests into paying more. Reception staff were arrogant, disrespectful, and insolent, completely unfit for hospitality. This place was an embarrassment. Zero stars if I could give them. Avoid.
