We were there for barely an hour, but the owner still wouldn’t take responsibility or arrange a refund after we raised the problems. We’d booked the whole property for four days, and the caretaker had asked us to arrive at 1 PM because the house was supposedly being cleaned. Instead, we found garbage piled outside and a strong fish smell that made it hard to stay indoors. The bedsheets and quilts were dirty and smelled, and dust covered the fans and surfaces. In the bathrooms, the pots were broken, the tiles were grimy, and maintenance was clearly lacking. Servants and caretakers kept roaming around, even coming into the house after we checked in. It felt unsafe and intrusive. The place was nothing like the photos or positive reviews online. A nightmare of an experience.
