Oyo 16400 Heritage Guest House

They accepted our reservation through Oyo, but when we arrived, they told us they don’t allow couples. What kind of policy is that? It shouldn’t matter whether you’re married or 2000 miles from home. The hotel could at least have mentioned this when we booked, but there was no information. The refund would take almost a week. This place shows what’s wrong with people in our country. Even education couldn’t help them. The worst hotel I’ve ever been to. If I could give it a negative rating, I definitely would.

The room and linens were dirty, the toilet water was dirty too, and the room I got wasn’t the one shown in the booking picture. When I asked the front desk staff to change the linens, he rudely refused and told me to contact OYO and cancel. They didn’t provide toiletries, a towel, or mosquito repellent liquid. They also forgot the complimentary breakfast, which I only got after complaining to the OYO captain. One of my worst experiences with OYO. Please avoid this guest house.

It’s within walking distance of the railway station. When we arrived at 5 am, even though there were no rooms available, they let us in. I’m thankful for that, as it was the two of us girls. But the mosquitoes were horrifying, and with no kitchen they couldn’t even give us hot water in the morning. Breakfast came from outside, and it gave me stomach indigestion. If you only need lodging, I’d recommend it.

The train station is only 300m away, and getting around is easy. The room was nice, the caretaker looked after things well, and there’s a good parking area. You can visit the places they recommend.
