Treebo Arna Residency

Traffic was the main downside during our stay. Major flyover construction in the Silphukuri area caused congestion at peak times, which could be awkward if you're on a tight tourist schedule. The location is otherwise convenient, near the railway station and Paltan Bazar. It's a standard Treebo property with good hygiene: the beds and washrooms were clean, and staff were mostly helpful. After we asked at reception, they arranged an extra mattress for the third adult. Breakfast was a decent, well-managed buffet for the price, and the dinner we had there one evening was tasty and well prepared.

The lift wasn't working, and they blamed the electricity despite having two gensets. Seniors had to walk up three floors. Reception service was irresponsible, and the guys there were rude. The locality and approach roads were also awful, dusty and polluted. I strongly advise against staying here even for one night, even if it were free.

There was plenty of parking if you're bringing a car, and the staff were very nice and helpful. I didn't have any problems with the room. The hotel is somewhat near the train station, but far enough that the whistles weren't a constant bother. I stayed through an IRCTC package tour. Breakfast was a basic buffet, good enough to get the day started. There's major construction on the highway closer to the hotel, so expect slow traffic and a few dusty stretches. Hopefully it finishes soon.

The room I was given was filthy and untidy, with a dirty carpet and no bathroom amenities. I had booked a deluxe room, but on arrival the staff called it a standard room. My travel agency confirmed it should have been deluxe, though even if it was, it looked completely different from the photos. I got none of the comfort or facilities I expected, and the stay was very disappointing.
