When I visited in October 2021, the rooms weren't maintained, and many were in very bad shape. The bathroom pipes leaked constantly. They kept asking for rent in advance, and they would switch off the electricity at night, leaving you to argue about it in the middle of the night. The staff were rude and behaved badly. There was more besides that. They completely ruined my trip and damaged my image in front of my guests.
One receptionist was extremely rude. I had booked and paid for the room in advance, but at check-in he still asked me to pay and told me to speak to someone else who handled online payments. The rooms are small and not good, and the bathrooms are awful, cramped, and have flushes that don't work. They also don't allow outside food, so you have to eat at their restaurant. I only stayed because other hotels were full and I needed to prebook somewhere in Gwalior. Avoid this place if you want a trouble-free stay in the city.
Don't book this hotel online. I don't know who's responsible, but they need to make things clear with OYO if they aren't in a mutual agreement to accept bookings. They flat-out refused the booking made through OYO. It caused a huge amount of inconvenience.
I had a pleasant stay here. It feels like a very welcoming, familiar hotel. Special thanks to the owner, mr.subhash, and his sons robin and bhau. Nitin from delhi
