Hotel Sudarshan

The service was really bad, and the staff behaved even worse. We would have been better off choosing another hotel.

I stayed at Hotel Sudarshan in Gwalior, which is handily located near major attractions like the Gwalior Fort. The clean, comfortable rooms felt home-like, and the room service food was great. The parcel I took on checkout day was only average. The check-in manager was initially reluctant to accept the late check-out offer I had availed through MakeMyTrip, which was disappointing. I didn't use the Wi-Fi or parking, so I can't speak to them. The bathroom curtain was dirty and the door was hard to latch. The check-in manager said the restaurant wasn't family friendly because it had an attached bar. The hotel has potential, but some things need improvement.

The view of the fort adds to the value for money here. It's an economical, decent hotel, with fast service, reasonably priced food, clean bathrooms, and clean linen and towels. Don't forget to order takeaway food for the rest of your journey, your fellow travellers will salivate and admire the spread!

The security staff were so humble, and their help with local transport information touched me. You can also take no 4 riksha for a fare of 10rs to reach the station. I had a really nice stay. Staff were humble and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the bed and towels were fresh. There's a common geyser with hot water, a basic necessity in winter, and some rooms have extra dressing space. The food was quite good too.
