OYO 18651 Hotel Sharda

We stayed one night with family while traveling through MP. The owner was cooperative and had the room cleaned when we asked; we didn't like the bedsheet and pillow cover, so he replaced them. Our family room for 4 adults came to 1200, after they first asked for 1400. The place is right on the main Nai Sadak. The address is Hotel Sharda, 34, Nai Sadak, Sathe Ki Goth, Lashkar, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh 474001. There aren't eating places nearby, so food has to be ordered. They have local bottled water for sale, or you can get RO water in a jug. Don't expect Bisleri or Aquafina bottles. There were no toiletries in the washroom, though towels were provided. The lift wasn't working properly, so we walked up to the 2nd floor, and some people were noisy late at night. There's no car parking. We left our car on the road in front of a shop at our own risk, then moved it in the morning before shops opened. Payment is required in advance. If you're staying with family or kids, I'd look for a better hotel.

Really bad hotel and service. There were cockroaches and insects in the room, and the bathroom was very dirty. Avoid it.

OYO 18651 Sharda asked me for extra cash on top of my booking amount. I stayed there for 2 hours, but the hotel didn't cancel the booking from its side, and the manager wouldn't pick up the customer care phone. I was going to file a case against him in district court. If you're visiting, call ahead to confirm your booking and be careful about the on-the-spot fraud they do with OYO and Booking.com customers.

Please don't book this place. The room was tiny and untidy, and the washroom, bedsheet, and other things in the room were dirty or broken. The toilet was clogged, and the AC wasn't working properly.
