The calm Ganga view from my room made the stay feel special. The room was clean, with fresh linens and useful amenities, and the staff were attentive and caring throughout. I felt genuinely welcome. Staying here in Devnadi haridwar gave me a nice mix of comfort, nature, and spirituality. I'd love to come back.

The room was comfortable, clean, and well kept, and the staff were always polite and ready to help. Best of all, I could watch the sun come up over the Ganga and hear the water from my room. It was peaceful and refreshing, just right for unwinding in haridwar. I'd recommend it to anyone after a serene stay.

The one thing I appreciated was access to the private ghat, which guests from any room can use. It gave us a chance to spend some quiet moments there. Beyond that, our stay was very poor. We paid premium rates, but the service, comfort, and hospitality didn't come close to what was advertised. The property felt more like a dharamshala than a premium hotel, despite the dressed-up staff and high prices. Guest experience didn't seem to be a priority, and the cost wasn't justified by the facilities or service. Seeing the online photos is a trap. I'd suggest looking at other properties or a dharamshala instead. We were in Private Ghat Room 108. There wasn't a window, and it felt much like a standard room without a Ganga view. I don't understand the extra ₹5,000–₹6,000 charge for this category. There was also a damp, seepage-like smell the whole time. Housekeeping was poor too: the towels were low quality, and used ones had been left in the wardrobe. The staff often seemed unsure when we asked for help. Simple requests took far too long, were ignored, or were handled badly. Before booking, we checked by phone and WhatsApp whether milk would be available for our infant, including late at night around 2:00 am, and were told yes. Staff repeated that assurance at dinner. But when we called at 11:30 pm, the first response was that the kitchen was closed. After we asked several times, someone said they'd try. If they can't provide it, they shouldn't promise it. Breakfast was another letdown. The juice dispenser was empty, and after staff said they'd refill it, we waited 20-30 minutes with no result. When we asked again, they poured about a quarter glass from what little remained. My parents waited nearly 30 minutes for tea at the restaurant, then left without it because it never came. At dinner the breads arrived cold. We ordered butter naan but got garlic naan. The staff initially seemed unsure what to do, until a woman on staff stepped in and corrected the order. There is no hotel parking either, so guests have to use the shared lot about a two-minute walk away. That's manageable, but should be explained beforehand. The place seems focused on charging high rates while putting little effort into service and guest satisfaction. It felt more like a way to extract money than genuine hospitality. Unless service and management improve a lot, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for value, comfort, or real hospitality.

The private ghat was the best part of our stay at Devnadi – The Heritage Hotel. It's clean, quiet, and away from the crowds, and the evening aarti there feels personal and peaceful. The place is safe and well kept for families, with warm, helpful staff. The satvic food is simple and homely. A soothing stay, and one I'd recommend.

Charul at the front office made a real difference for us. She personally negotiated and arranged our trip from Haridwar to Rishikesh, and even when we arrived during Ganga Aarti, she took us straight to the ghat so we wouldn't miss it. She also helped get our luggage to the room while we were there. Himashri Bora, Suraj Negi, Sanjay, Nitish, and Shubham were part of the helpful team too. The property is an old mansion, but it's very well maintained. Its own ghat is cleaned regularly, and the Panditji there carries out the rituals with a lot of devotion. Relaxing by Ma Ganaga felt divine. If you stay, check whether a private Ganga Balcony is available. We came for Ganga snan and Aarti in Haridwar, and it turned out to be a very good choice. Food service can be quite slow because the kitchen is on the rooftop, and housekeeping should be more alert about replacing amenities after cleaning. Even with those issues, this was one of our best stays.
