Fabhotel Agk

We’d asked about early check-in and late checkout before booking, and were assured there’d be no extra charge. We reminded the reception staff again when we arrived, and they didn’t mention a fee then either. At checkout, two other staff members demanded extra money for the late departure and made a big issue of it. We had a train to catch and were running late, but they didn’t help. They even called the police and stopped the auto-rickshaw carrying our luggage. They wouldn’t admit any mistake. They wanted Rs 1000 extra, but we paid Rs 200 because we needed to get to our train. The staff treated us terribly. I had a really bad experience and wouldn’t book here.

There was no basic hygiene. The rooms and linens were dirty, and the bathroom fittings were old and broken. I wouldn’t come back. The hotel boys were good, but the owner wasn’t. The main problem is FabHotels and its employees, who promise one thing over the phone and then aren’t available to deal with questions at the hotel. The whole process feels like customer harassment.

In the morning we left the keys with housekeeping so they could clean the rooms while we went to Har ki Pauri. When we came back, they said we hadn’t handed over the keys and asked for 400 rupees for a new lock. We’d first negotiated for two rooms at 2400 rupees, but they eventually gave us two rooms for 1600. The receptionist was rude and treated other guests badly too. This was the worst hotel in Haridwar. Avoid it.

I had to book at the last minute, so this was the only option left, and I was completely disappointed. The staff and location are probably the only good parts. Everything else, including the cleanliness, linens, and floors, was disgusting. It’s a new property, but the owner doesn’t seem to care and is irresponsible. Fab hotels manages it poorly and seems focused on selling the franchise and making money, without properly weighing the partnership. Please avoid.
