Ganga View

We stayed at Hotel Ganga View through Invisible NGO, and the experience was very disappointing. The room was extremely dirty and poorly maintained, with basic cleanliness ignored. The washroom was unhygienic, and we had no hot water. There were no proper room facilities, and the hotel’s overall condition was unacceptable. The lack of basic amenities caused unnecessary inconvenience. Hygiene and maintenance should be the minimum standard, and this service is unacceptable for guests. I strongly do not recommend Hotel Ganga View.

The view of Rishikesh and the holy Ganga was beautiful from the hotel, and the clean, lovely rooms looked out on the peaceful river. At Sitting Elephant, the restaurant was pleasing to look at and the music was melodious. The staff provided excellent service, and the food was delicious. The evening hi tea was incredible, with many varieties. A wonderful experience, and I totally recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Not having basic amenities caused unnecessary inconvenience, and this service is unacceptable for any guest. Proper hygiene and maintenance should be a minimum standard. I strongly do not recommend Hotel Ganga View.

The toilets were usable, but the rooms were somewhat dirty, though manageable, and the service wasn’t great. When I asked for something, staff told me to come down to reception and get it. There was basically no hospitality from them. You can consider staying if you get a room for 1500 or less per day (in 2023). The Ganga view in the title isn’t available unless you pay extra for a premium room, though you can see gangaji from the shared balcony. I don’t think it’s worth more than 1500 a day.
