Hotel The Reverent Ganga

The only real plus here is the location. The bathroom was clean, but our room walls were damp and had a strong musty smell. The rooms and hotel itself are very ordinary, so don’t expect luxury. For what it offers, I felt it was highly priced.

The rooftop restaurant has a breathtaking view, and the location is especially good if you want to enjoy Har ki pairi. Mr Anuj ji, the incharge, was amazing with his service and help. Too good a hotel.

We chose this hotel for its good reviews and handy spot near Har Ki Pauri. The location really is amazing, and being able to watch the evening Ganga Aarti from there was wonderful. Our room was comfortable and room service was good. The meals were a letdown. We asked for breakfast expecting it to be made fresh at the hotel, but it came from a ground-floor kitchen, and the price was more like a 5-star rate. Besides the food, the stay was pleasant, and the location makes it a good option for Haridwar visitors.

The property is in an excellent location, but the service and dining were disappointing for the premium price. We were there with our 85-year-old grandmother, who wanted to see the Ganga Aarti. The rooftop was moderately crowded, with some space still available, and we asked for a chair because she has difficulty walking. The staff member on duty spoke rudely and told us, "Come later, leave now," in an annoyed tone. That felt very insensitive toward an elderly guest. At this price, I expected courteous, well-trained staff. The food was also underwhelming in taste and value. The prices were extremely high, comparable to upscale 5-star restaurants, without quality to justify the cost. The location is a clear highlight, but poor service and overpriced dining made the experience fall short.
