Dilip made our family stay memorable. He was there to guide us with parking and make sure the food we needed arrived on time. He’s truly a gem of a caretaker. We stayed at Ekant last weekend, and it’s a memorable place for a family trip.

We had a great time with friends and got to enjoy some quality time together. The property is clean and beautiful, with a calm atmosphere and a lovely starry sky at night. A nice weekend place for friends or family, and one I’d visit again.

The villa is cleverly laid out, with a good pool, seating area, lawn swing, and a spacious balcony. It gives you that feeling of being far away, where you can just relax and enjoy nature. I’d suggest keeping a power bank charged and checking the inverter. October to January seems like the best time to visit. The main city is far, so get your food, snacks, and drinks beforehand. A lovely weekend getaway and a nice place to visit.

Dilip, one of the staff, was polite and helpful, and the property and pool were clean. The food was good, both veg and nonveg, though portions were small. The menu is fixed. Only the master bedroom has an attached bathroom; the other two rooms don’t. The hall has a small AC machine, but it doesn’t cool effectively because of the outlets by the stairs to the upper rooms and the open kitchen. There’s no mobile network, so you rely on WiFi calls, and power cuts happen frequently. You pay the full deposit at your own risk. We went on a weekend in May, and power kept cutting out every 15-20 minutes throughout our stay. They ran the diesel generator during outages, but it only powered a few bulbs and fans. At around 1 am, during a cut, they forgot to switch it on, leaving us without electricity and unable to sleep. With no mobile signal and the Wi-Fi not working then, we couldn’t call anyone. The outage lasted all night, and the water supply was off in the morning, making basic morning tasks difficult. The AC in the upstairs bedroom wasn’t cooling to the set temperature. Maybe it had run out of gas, and this hadn’t been checked before we arrived. A shower outlet in one bathroom didn’t work properly, and a toilet flush was broken. Vikas, the manager at Greenway Properties, showed no empathy. He was rude and arrogant, and wouldn’t meet us to discuss the problems. He only appeared at checkout, urging us to leave quickly because he had a Sunday booking. The owner, Jay (Homestays), also ignored the issues and disconnected our calls twice. Later he told us to speak to the property staff because it was their responsibility. The final bill charged for food for a child below 3 years old, despite us being told children below 5 wouldn’t be charged. Instead of a relaxing weekend, the whole experience was stressful and disappointing.
