For ₹750, Shiva Shakti Palace was good value, and getting to tea stalls, restaurants, and markets was easy. The rooms are roomy, with a sofa, table, chairs, TV, and free soap. They have an old-fashioned feel, and the staff kept both the rooms and shared areas clean. Room service was available too. A comfortable, convenient place to stay in Haveri.
The owner made sure everything went smoothly when we held my sister’s wedding at Shivashakti Palace five years ago. The place is spacious, well kept, and looked lovely for a big celebration. It’s also been a popular Haveri venue for years, with people from nearby choosing it for weddings, engagements, and other major functions. I’d consider it a reliable choice for an occasion.
Service was very poor, and the bathrooms need a complete makeover. The rooms themselves are only average.
There was no dustbin or towel in the room, and hot water was available for just two hours a day. The receptionist kept asking how long I was staying, so I ended up booking somewhere else. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, and being in the city centre made getting around convenient, but the staff weren’t well mannered.
The hot water wasn’t working, and for the price I didn’t think it was worth it. The place is an older lodge with a marriage hall on the main highway, though it’s maintained and the spacious rooms were clean. Staff and service were good, and there’s open parking for two and four wheelers. Call to reconfirm the booking and check-in time, since they seem to get confused and you might have to wait.
