The host was kind, welcoming, and always willing to help. They listened patiently to our requests, helped arrange travel around Hampi, and even offered us extra time at checkout, which made our last day much easier. The place was calm and clean, with a spacious, airy room, a nice balcony, and a terrace where we could relax in the evenings. I had a wonderful stay at this well-kept homestay. If you want a cozy, friendly place in Hampi, this is a great choice!

The rooms are reasonable for the price, and staying in the village center made it easy to reach the temples and other sights. The problem started after booking: a day before, or on the morning of arrival, a man named Hanumantha called claiming to be the RVM homestay owner's brother and an auto-rickshaw driver. He offered to take us around and pushed us to hire him. For first-time visitors, he says the roads in Hampi are too narrow for cars. That isn't true, there are proper car parks at nearly all the locations. He takes customers to shops where he earns commission, and to restaurants where his meal is free or added to your bill. For a coracle ride that normally costs around 250-300 per person, he may charge about 600 after his commission. Please, owner, don't share guests' phone numbers with these drivers. If you're travelling with your own vehicle, use it, or hire a self-drive car or scooter.

Manjunath and his family made us feel very welcome and helped with everything. The location also worked well, with all the important places close by. From the crowded village lane, the building didn't look like much, but the rooms upstairs were beautiful, and the terrace was quiet and private. It had all the amenities we needed, and for this budget I'd recommend staying here.

We had a comfortable time in the AC room. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the host and his family were very courteous and helpful. The main tourist spots are all within about 3-4 km. There's enough parking for one car, and I'd recommend staying here.
