Pai Residency

The bus terminus is only a minute’s walk away, yet the rooms are peaceful. For a budget hotel, the room and bathroom are a good size and very hygienic. There are good restaurants nearby, though it would be better if the hotel served food from its own kitchen. I’d recommend it to budget travelers. Four stars from me.

Pai Residency works well for a short business trip or quick visit to Hospet if you want a central, affordable place with clean rooms and comfortable beds. The linen was tidy, and the rooms were neatly maintained. Air conditioning, a TV, basic seating, and decent lighting cover the essentials, and the price is fair for the location and room size. The bathrooms are clean but basic, with dated fittings that need better upkeep. The interiors are practical but could feel warmer and more modern. Noise insulation could also be better, especially in this central spot. It’s a reliable, no-frills choice for guests who value location, cleanliness, and affordability over luxury.

A good choice for Hampi visitors, with plenty of food and other options around the city. The Hospete bus stand is an easy walk away. The place is neat and clean, well maintained, and the staff are friendly. It was recently renovated, and there’s an even better new building across the road.

We had to change rooms twice because of the hygiene and bed bugs. The first rooms were dirty, with bed bugs in the bedding, towels, and sheets, and I was badly bitten. There were also cockroaches. When we raised it with the front desk, they changed our room, but we still had a terrible experience with the cleanliness and quality. The rooms they gave us were poor, the walls had paan stains, and the bathroom had residue and was unclean. The pillows were stained and had hair on them.
