Hotel Raai Hosur

The property itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and a welcome refuge after a long drive. The kitchen served delicious, high-quality food, although it was definitely pricey. My check-in, though, was a draining and unnecessary battle. I was breaking up a difficult 1,100 km drive from Hyderabad and had booked through Agoda for two adults and two children. The site warned that the room's capacity was three, but I continued, prepared to pay a reasonable upgrade fee at the desk. After payment, I noticed the reservation had defaulted to one adult, so I used Agoda's add-on feature to register my wife and elder child, expecting that to avoid confusion on arrival. At check-in, the receptionist insisted the booking was for one guest and aggressively demanded another ₹2,100 for the two additional people. I showed her the Agoda app with the added guests and explained what had happened, but she wouldn't reconsider, saying the update hadn't synced to her system. The room description stated a three-person capacity, so I held my ground and offered to pay for one extra person. The argument dragged on until a second receptionist stepped in, looked at it reasonably, and accepted the single charge. It's a shame the first interaction was so hostile when the property was such a restful place. Come for the lovely grounds, but be ready for a potentially rigid front desk.
