OYO 15966 Hotel Shivam

Our stay left me with a very bitter feeling, and I don’t think this hotel is suited to families. There was an alcohol restaurant beside the front desk, and some boxers showed off their muscles to customers, creating a rough atmosphere in front of our family. The billing was also troubling: I paid 12,600 plus another 1,400, 14,000 in total, but they gave us a bill for only 10,400. We arrived at 9:30 pm on 15 January 2026 and asked about three rooms. The fixed price was 1,400 per room. When we presented our Nepali passports, staff said Nepali people weren’t allowed to stay there, supposedly because of a government decision. After about half an hour of discussion, they called someone and agreed to let us stay. We paid 5,000 in advance for rooms 501, 503, and 507. The next morning, 16 January, we visited Kali mandir. On 17 January we were taking the East cost express to puri, and the hotel had no room available for us to lock up our luggage. We left two rooms and kept one for the bags at 1,000 per day. We returned from puri on the shalimar express on 19 January at 8 in the morning, rejoined the hotel, and deposited another 5,000. We checked out around 8 the next morning, 20 January, and paid 5,000 more. After that, I asked the front desk if we could sit inside the room. The staff member said yes, but that we’d have to sit outside if a guest came. At departure they then charged us for another day for two rooms, 504 and 604. We were surprised and argued that 2,800 for just a few extra hours was too much. They insisted we had to pay at least 1,400 for the short overstay. After the argument got worse, I paid it.
