OYO Flagship 10471 Hotel Samrat Palace

The room was quite small, the sheets were very unclean, and they didn't give us enough towels. I was charged Rs. 500 extra for an extra mattress, and the staff were rude at check-in. I wouldn't recommend it as a great place to stay. It's not an upto the mark OYO hotel.

The staff were really good and helpful, but my room experience was very bad. Both the room and bathroom were small. The hotel is in the crowded local area of shibpur, and there isn't a restaurant nearby in the market, just biryani and fast food places. I wouldn't stay again if I had another option.

Oyo handled things well and found us a better deal, but the hotel didn't seem to understand Oyo's policy. I booked through Oyo for relatives, and when I arrived, two other guests were waiting over the same issue. Oyo had charged me Rs.1168 and paid the hotel Rs. 920 after its charges. The reception told me to call customer care. After I did, Oyo's representative tried to contact the hotel, but the staff still refused check-in. Oyo then offered a deluxe room at another hotel 5km away and said the extra amount would be adjusted, with no further payment needed. I agreed. One thing to keep in mind: Oyo bookings use the name on the account signed in through mail or fb. Update it with the guest's name, or you may have check-in trouble. Oyo allows the person staying to check in when the booking name matches.

The bedspread was very dirty, there was no room service, and the staff were rude when I checked out. I booked manually at 2.30pm, not through Oyo, and assumed checkout would be 2.30pm the next day. They hadn't told me anything about checkout time. When I left at 2.30pm, they charged me 300 rupees extra and behaved very rudely. A terrible experience.
