Fabhotel White Ridge Shivam

Parking was difficult, in a really tight spot. The stairs looked messy and unhygienic, with bedsheets lying there. The sheets in the room also looked like they hadn’t been washed in days. They gave me an extra mattress wrapped in plastic and refused to take the plastic off. Breakfast was listed as complimentary, but they didn’t make it there and said she would bring it from a local shop.

I changed hotels after the second day and didn’t ask for a refund. I wanted to get out quickly and didn’t have time to haggle. There was little professionalism throughout. Please don’t stay here. I arrived at Fabhotel White Ridge Shivam with a senior citizen who needed medical care, on the reserved check-in date and time. I’d booked through Booking.com, but the hotel couldn’t find the reservation. After two hours on the phone with Booking.com customer care, they cancelled it and offered to fully pay for a stay at another hotel in a different city. I told Booking.com that reservations made through them for FabHotels couldn’t be trusted to be confirmed. Later that evening, I booked a room separately to avoid travelling with a senior citizen. Hyderabad's terrible driving, lack of civic sense, and weather are no joke. The bedsheets were old and stained with lipstick and a boot print, and looked unlaundered. After I requested fresh sheets, they either weren’t changed or were replaced with another old, stained set. The toilets were heavily stained and moldy. Poor construction and ventilation meant water didn’t drain or dry properly. The reception desk was often unattended, and it was hard to get room service or food. The entrance foyer was being used as a storeroom. I suspect shady activities are going on. At least there were no bed bugs. The reception desk insisted I pay day by day instead of paying in full, but I paid in full.

The room was dusty and completely untidy, and the blankets and bedsheets were very old. It looked nothing like the picture on the website. I stayed here with my family, but wouldn’t recommend it for families. A really bad experience.

Hotel Stey was a pleasant place to stay, with a lovely atmosphere and a property that’s well maintained.
