Hotel AVS Sweet Magic by OYO Rooms

The restaurant had a great ambience and good food options, and the sweets at the bakery on the first floor were to die for. There are plenty of nearby places to eat as well. My room was a little small, but the bed was very comfortable and there was a modest almira. The rooms are nice and cozy, though there was no hot water. Good place to stay.

Everything smelled bad, and I had serious health issues because of the room odor. I changed rooms twice in one day, but it didn’t improve, so I had to check out immediately. The OYO team didn’t respond when I raised an emergency, and security for female personnel is nil. A very unpleasant stay.

We had a great time here with my friends after attending a marriage nearby, at the bramharambha marraige hall. The food was good, especially the yummy chicken tikka, and the staff were nice. The room was clean and nice, but small, and the bathroom was very small too, so you have to adjust. Both hot and cold water were available all the time. Room service is available, though a little slow. It’s close to the metro and easy to commute from, and there’s a lift and their own party hall. A good hotel at a reasonable price, especially for two people.

The Wi-Fi was decent and the Pongal at breakfast was good, but neither made up for the appalling service. The sheets and washroom weren’t clean, and the common areas were best avoided. When we asked room service to refill our bottles with drinking water last night, they disappeared with them. We eventually found the bottles in the common room and filled them from a nearby dispenser. At 6.30 in the morning our taps ran dry. Repeated calls to housekeeping went unanswered and reception did nothing. We also needed extra time to get ready for a function, but staff told us to rebook on the app. The manager was just as apathetic and told us to change properties if we were unhappy. This wasn’t an isolated incident, and I can’t think of anything nice to say about the stay.
