Hotel NKM's Grand

The restaurant was empty on a Sunday, and after our experience I could see why. We went for weekend dinner and had no one offer us a table when we arrived. We found one ourselves, then waited nearly 10 minutes for a waiter. The AC didn't work, and even after we asked, it stayed off until we'd paid. The sweet corn soup took almost 25 minutes and was just tasteless corn starch water. We had to ask several times for salt and pepper. The main course took another 25 minutes, and I wouldn't give that food away for free. The prawn biryani was hopeless, and the waiters didn't know how to serve food onto the plate. Food quality was pathetic, hospitality was the worst, and their service was slower than a snail. The food was highly overpriced for what they served. There are plenty of other places with tasty food, humble hospitality and much more reasonable prices. If this continues, there may be only waiters in the restaurant, if there are any. I'd never recommend it.

The entrance is grand, fitting the name, and being on the main road is a plus. I loved the artificial flowers in the table dividers, they add a natural touch. It's one of the best hotels, restaurants and banquet venues, with tasty food, lots of varieties, good service and staff.

We celebrated my son's first birthday here. The staff were nice, the ambience decent, and the food was excellent. Chicken dum ki murgh and double ka meetha were delicious. The biryani was average, but they make really good vegetarian food, especially paneer.

I've stayed at this lovely hotel several times. The rooms are spacious and very good, the ambience is nice, and the staff are friendly and helpful, especially at reception. Breakfast and dinner are tasty and worth the money. It's affordable for middle income guests. The bathrooms could use a little makeover.
