The room price was somewhat reasonable, and the staff were well behaved, which is what the two stars are for. But there was no proper management or cleanliness, and no extension phone. At checkout they kept asking us to pay in advance, and would keep bringing up any pending amount. The management is poor.
Even basic amenities were missing, and the hotel had power cuts for at least six hours a day. There was no way to call staff, so you had to go to the counter whenever you needed help. Most rooms were good, but the morning staff didn’t seem to care about customers. The evening staff were helpful and moved me to another room. I didn’t have a good experience overall.
The bathroom wasn’t cleaned, and the bedsheet was really dirty and left unchanged. We got no room service, not even water. After we booked online, they accused us of booking the wrong way and said we had cheated them. They quoted a higher price and added GST even though the bill was under 1,000 rupees. They made fools of my innocent parents. The worst experience, and I don’t recommend this place at all.
The only good thing is the location, right in the heart of the city. The room on the fourth floor was very bad and dirty, so they moved me to the third floor, but that room was bad too. There was no cleaning, no hygiene, and no dustbin. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
The hotel itself is average, but you get what you pay for. At least the bedsheets were there, which is the most important thing. It’s centrally located in a Muslim district, with fairly good restaurants and sweet shops nearby. There are also lots of buses and a metro within walking distance. I’d recommend it to budget travelers.
