Manasarovar Hyderabad

The hotel’s location is excellent, within walking distance of Consulate and not far from the main road. I stayed four days and check-in was smooth and professional. They upgraded me to a spacious, well-maintained superior room with a dining table. The bathroom was small, but clean and had the basic amenities. Breakfast was tasty with a good spread. In-room dining had limited choices, and we didn’t enjoy the taste.

The restaurant is in the lobby of the Manasarovar - The Fern Hotel in Begumpet. It was mainly for hotel guests, but lately they’ve also promoted it as casual dining, with offers through deal apps like Little and Nearbuy. Their lunch buffet can be found on the apps for about 449, which makes a weekend or weekday lunch a good deal. The place feels quiet and tucked away from the busy streets despite being in the heart of the city. I tried the buffet and enjoyed it, with a few hiccups. The corn flake fritters, fish majestic, creamy chicken salad, and Thai fish curry were delicious if you like Thai food. The chicken biryani was quite good for a buffet, one of the better ones I’ve had recently. Strawberry souffle was a welcome dessert change and delicious. The jalebis were good, and you can ask to have them heated. Some desserts need work. Apart from the jalebis and strawberry souffle, they were subpar. The cinnamon cake was very dry despite having plenty of flavor, and the pineapple pastry was too wet. The soup could use a little salt. I eat very little salt and even I found it a bit underseasoned. If you get a deal, it’s a really fine buffet with plenty of options. The chef promised the food will improve every day. Ratings: Food 3.5/5, Service 5/5, Ambiance 4/5, VFM 4/5. The rooftop bar and restaurant had a nice ambience, and the food was very tasty. Breakfast and the other meals had a good selection of cuisines and desserts. I had a comfortable stay in a very clean, spacious pool-facing deluxe room with decent furniture and bathroom. The hotel is very close to the US consulate.

The hotel is set well inland, so it was quiet, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and nice. They helped us book a rental car for touring the city. Check-in took 40-45 minutes, though, and the food was very average. It’s quite far from tourist spots, so we spent longer traveling. All in all, a nice hotel.
