Townhouse Red Hills Lakdikapul Formerly Sitara Grand

The people running this hotel seemed not to care about the problems at all. The room had bed bugs, and for most of the time the fan wasn't working. The lights were inadequate, and the AC didn't cool the room. The service and rooms deserve a negative rating. If you're hoping for a peaceful stay, I'd avoid this place. It gave me nightmares.

The breakfast was soggy packaged dosa with no plate or cutlery, and it seemed unhygienic. There were cockroaches, the water supply was unreliable, and the bathroom fittings were broken. The rooms were filthy and poorly maintained. Even the lights, bathroom lights, and charging points all depended on one switch, so turning it off cut power to everything. When I asked to cancel because of the room, staff refused a refund and said, “You didn’t book through me, so don’t ask me to cancel. If you don’t like the room, go pay ₹3000 and stay somewhere else.” They were rude and unprofessional, and I felt trapped. This was one of my worst hotel stays. I strongly advise people to avoid Super Townhouse (formerly Sitara Grand), it wasn't worth the money or stress.

We somehow got out early in the morning after a horrible night with lots of bed bugs and small cockroaches. The walls were broken and covered in fungus, and the old building had poor facilities. The geyser and TV didn't work, several switches and wires were broken, and the plug points wouldn't charge a phone. Staff didn't respond when I reported any of it. The breakfast shown in the photos wasn't served there. It came from a small, unhygienic hotel outside. The restaurant in the pictures was part of the building before, but has been closed for a long time. We had booked through Agoda, so don't be fooled by the pictures. The place looked completely different in reality. We arrived in the city in the morning and went to the hotel around 9 AM to ask about early check-in so we could freshen up and explore. The receptionist said there were no vacant rooms and check-in was only at 12 PM under hotel policy. Then he told us to return by 11 AM and warned we might not get a room if we were late. I explained I'd paid several days earlier. He said the payment was fine but there could be overbooking, so we needed to come early. We waited as instructed, but they gave rooms to other guests who arrived after us. It seemed they knew we'd paid in advance and assumed we wouldn't go elsewhere, and took advantage of that. A very bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend this place.

For the quality, these rooms are only worth 700₹. The building is old, the floors are dirty, the wall paint looks dull, and the bathroom wasn't clean. The rooms are average at best, nowhere near OYO standards.
