Valley View Apartments by OYO Rooms

There were people staying in the hall, so I had no privacy. The place seems suitable only for bachelors, not families. It's at a dead end in a remote corner, and very hard to reach without your own vehicle. The food they served for breakfast wasn't great, and there was no working refrigerator. I waited hours for the water to get cold. The bathrooms and living rooms smelled, and there were nasty stains on the towels, sheets, and linens. Aside from one helper boy, the staff were lazy, didn't show empathy, and often wouldn't answer the reception phone. It was one of the most lethargic OYO owners and management teams I've dealt with. Saying I'm disappointed doesn't cover it. They need to improve their service and hygiene.

I spent three days at OYO, and it was a terrible experience. The manager and staff showed no customer care, and they charged me more than we had agreed. They also kept the balance they owed me. The advertised complimentary breakfast was a total lie. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

The room itself felt like an old apartment turned into a lodge. The AC and bathroom were dated, though they worked, and we found a caterpillar on the curtains. My hand may have reacted to it. Breakfast the next morning was sloppy. The manager did let us leave our bags until 4 and come back for a shower after checkout, which helped. Finding the place was a problem from the start. Google Maps showed the wrong spot, and searching for Athidhi Apartments is how we found it. We had to walk about 1.5 km from where we were dropped. When we arrived, the manager wasn't there, and our Goibibo booking took time to sort out. He wouldn't give us the attached-bathroom room we had booked unless we paid an extra 500. It was nearly 10 pm, we were exhausted, and the hotel is about 1 km off the main street, so we paid.

It's okay for the budget, though I wouldn't call it a great place to stay. The rooms could be kept more hygienic.
