Meghamala Resorts

The setting is the big draw at Meghamala Resorts. From the hillside you look out over the Idukki reservoir, and the mist, cool air, and sunrise over the water and mountains make it feel like you're up in the clouds. It's near Calvary Mount, and the balconies give you a good view. The gardens and flowering plants fit nicely into the forest around the property. We found the rooms spacious and very clean, with the essentials for a comfortable stay. They get plenty of light and breeze, and have a mix of modern comforts and a rustic feel. The whole place is peaceful, with attractive greenery around it. The staff were attentive and professional, and made us feel welcome. They can arrange a campfire or a jeep safari to viewpoints, and the home-cooked Kerala food was fresh and full of local flavor. It's a lovely escape from the heat and bustle of the plains, whether you're traveling alone, with family, or on a honeymoon. I had a five-star stay and would recommend it to people looking for quiet and nature in the Western Ghats.

A lovely base for a family or a group of friends, with Calvary mount view point close enough to walk to. The views are scenic all around, and there are other places to visit nearby. Rooms and dormitories have A/C and are well maintained. Service was great, with customer support available 24/7, plus free wifi.

The staff were super friendly, and between the cozy rooms, good food, and those views, we enjoyed every moment at Meghamala Resorts. Such a wonderful stay, highly recommended.
