This was a horrendous stay, though at least it lasted only 2 nights and I was out most of each day. I wouldn't recommend the place at all. This review is about my stay during Baisakhi 2026. The bedsheets felt rough, unlike any I'd come across before, even though I'm not fussy about where I sleep. There was still a nail sticking out of the bedroom mirror. In the washroom, the bucket looked as if it had never been cleaned, and the mirror and its frame still had bindis from previous occupants. The sink, drain hole and soap holders also clearly needed cleaning. The cleaning between guests seemed limited to sweeping and wiping the room floor, light dusting of furniture, and cleaning the washroom floor. Even then, some furniture surfaces still had dust.

I booked 3 rooms, and 2 of them weren't very good. One had a door lock in poor condition, and the jet spray in its washroom was leaking. I reported these problems, but the staff didn't fix them properly. The cleaning wasn't done well either.

The price was affordable, and the staff were good. The Gurudwara is only a few steps away, so I had a great experience.

The staff were polite and behaved very well. Room service was good too. A hotel worth visiting.

We were nervous about traveling with children, but the owner and staff made us feel safe and comfortable at Shine Star. We arrived by taxi from the airport, called once we reached the city boundary, and they were waiting to welcome us when we got there. They showed us to our room and arranged meals, which left us very happy. We'd found several accommodation options online before choosing Shine Star. The facilities exceeded what we'd expected, and we were very pleased with how the staff treated us. I told my friends about our stay and shared the hotel's contact details with them confidently.
