Sangai Continental The Boutique Hotel

The rooms were good, but parking was a problem. There wasn’t enough space, and the surroundings felt congested. A basement parking area should have been arranged. The buffet breakfast could also use improvement.

The calm atmosphere and clean, comfortable washrooms made dining here pleasant, and the staff were attentive and friendly throughout. The fruit salad was fresh and vibrant, easily my favorite part of the meal, while the fried rice tasted nice but was only decent and not especially memorable. The chicken lollipop disappointed me: it seemed under-fried and lacked the crispness and flavor I expected, though maybe it was just an off day. Sangai Continental Hotel was neither crowded nor noisy, so it felt like a peaceful spot for a meal. I’d happily return for that fruit salad and welcoming service.

The restaurant has a wide range of dishes and cuisines, which suited me since I love spicy, hot food. I really enjoyed the taste. The hotel, service, and hospitality were impressive, and the employees were extremely polite and helpful. I also met the owner, who was a nice, polite person. I visited during the recent unrest and curfew, though, so they couldn’t serve all the buffet breakfast options.

Wild Rice serves really tasty food, and everything at the hotel was sparkling clean. The rooms were super comfortable, and the service went well beyond what I’d normally expect. It’s centrally located, with most tourist spots within walking distance. I’d give it more than five stars if I could.
