Hotel Samrat

The hotel may be old and centrally located, but the service was useless and the place wasn’t clean. We had to ask repeatedly for the room and bathroom to be cleaned; it took five calls before anyone showed up. Our dinner arrived completely cold. When we rang room service, the staff shouted at us and said the food was meant to be that way, or it would cool down on its way from the kitchen. Worst, worst, worst.

Don’t book here. We found bedbugs in the bed and furniture, the service was terrible, and there’s no generator. During our stay in summer, the power went out and the hotel was left without lights.

The rooms have been recently renovated and are great. There are both AC and non-AC options, and the beds are comfortable.

The price felt like a rip-off for what we got. Online, Hotel Samrat in Indore promised luxury, but my stay was disappointing and frustrating from the start. My room was in awful shape: the bed hadn’t been made, the sheets were stained and smelled of sweat, and the bathroom had hair, soap scum in the shower, and broken tiles. I didn’t even want to touch the toilet. Staff didn’t seem interested in helping. There was no toothpaste, and when I complained about the room, they just shrugged and said that was all they had. Getting extra towels took over an hour. The manager was arrogant and rude, which made everything worse. It was a disaster of a stay. I wouldn’t recommend Hotel Samrat to anyone. Your well wisher.
